Last Saturday, the art teacher invited me to her house to make kimchi with her, her sister, her mother, and her nieces.
I had so much fun, and now I officially feel like a Korean. : )
Here are some pictures:
This blog is about my experiences as a Korean adoptee teaching English in Korea.
I think learning to cook ethnic food is such fun! And, as long as you're living in Korea, it's a marvelous opportunity (especially since you like it so much!)... Maybe that would be a good excuse to tour the world? A "cooking adventure" in each country... (well, there are some places I'd rather not venture - at least into the cuisine!)
ReplyDeleteSince the kimchi is a favorite food, I purchase finished goods. However,I know, seemingly, the taste original at each home will be brewed in Korea. Even in Japan, pickles are a domestic tradition.
